In groups or pairs, students choose one agricultural product and illustrate and "write" a story from seed to our tables

Who is afraid of the big bad wolf? What makes a fairy tale a fairy tale?

Listen to fairy tales and orally recount major events sequence through drama and complete a story map?

Family Tales

Where do I belong in my family?

Create and present a family tree-Illustrate, sequence and label a time line album

Weather

What can or can't I do in different kinds of weather? (How do weather changes affect us?)

Observe + record daily weather on a chart. Compare/contrast weather changes on a national map. Describe how weather affects us in a journal (school and home).

Water, Air and Land

How do water, air and land work together? What happens if they don't?

Conduct an experiment using plant life in various conditions, make predictions and record results.

Animal Tails - Classification of animals

Is a camel a mammal?

Gather info about animals-write a rough copy and illustrate about 1 animal. Edit and revise. Publish and illustrate final report and share with class.

Fact Vs. Fiction (Science vs. fantasy)

True or False?

Write and illustrate a personal experience and a fictional experience with the students as the main character.

Turning points

How have I changed inside and out?

Make a memory book. Illustrate and write about what we've learned and how we have grown.
