Trolleys: The school asks that children do not use book bags
with wheels.
Food: Children should bring in a healthy snack for our morning
break. Fruit, yogurt, juice, etc. are fine, but please no candy or
sweets. We also ask that students do not share their snacks.
Dress: Dress sensibly with appropriate shoes. Flip-flops are
not permitted. On P.E. days, appropriate dress and shoes are
required.
Illness: Please do not send medications to school with your
child. (Contact the school nurse if your child needs medication
during the school day.) If your child is not fit enough to play
outside, he/she should stay home; children cannot be supervised in
the classroom during breaks. If your child has any specific
medical conditions, please inform the school nurse.
Bus: If you need to change your child's bus schedule (or if
your child is going home with a different person) please contact
Ms. Gigi by email or
phone. Parents can also send in a note so let us know about
changes.
Birthdays: Stduents can celebrate their birthday at school by
offering a special snack to their classmates at recess. (Cookies,
pasticcini-small pastries, or other single serving treats are
appropriate.) Note: If students plan to have an out-of-school
birthday party, please only hand out invitations at school
if the whole class is invited.
Conversation Starter: Each Friday, a "Conversation Starter" is
sent home with your child, with announcements and the topics
covered during the week. Please use this newsletter as a
talking point about what we are doing at school.
