Herculaneum
 
 
5C school trip went to Pompeii, Vesuvius, and Herculaneum. I met them up at Herculaneum. I will tell you 2 things I liked and 2 things I did not like about Herculaneum.
 
My favourite thing in Herculaneum was that I was able to bring Duck, my friend! He is yellow and soft. We saw a lot of new things together like frescos and homes! We saw second floors and old doors that are made of wood! We took pictures of the baths and paintings and frescos together. We saw gardens and an old bed!
My second favourite thing was Herculaneum because it was interesting to know about. I learned that Herculaneum was covered in mud and once was a rich holiday place. I wondered what it was like to live in Herculaneum. I really enjoyed going to Herculaneum! We all enjoyed going there! I can’t wait to go back to Santa Monica to show my friends the pictures.
I did not like that when I looked down, I did not know there were 300 dead people! All I saw was a white bump. When we visited the souvenir shops, I got a book about Pompeii and Herculaneum. I opened it, and read. Suddenly, the place I was looking at before had 300 dead people!
Boy was that scary! I hope I don’t have to do that again. Ducky and I had a wonderful time in Herculaneum!
