Avalanche Poem


I Ran
The avalanche was chasing me
My heart pounding with fear
I gave up
My death was near.
The avalanche surrounds me
I remain alone in a patch of deep snow 
There was just one thought in my mind, I was going to freeze to death
I resisted for a few minutes, now I thought of the destruction the avalanche caused
After a little while I heard more snow crushing
I knew this was the end of my short and cruel life
I held my breath
I was going to freeze to
 death
I did not have the strength to say my last word
I took my last and final breath
I was dead.
