- Dear Parents and Children,

- Welcome to Prep S! We are so
excited to start
this year! We will work hard, learn many new things and have a lot
of fun. Ms. Gartner and I look forward to all the great things
that we will share with you and your children.

- Here is some information you
may find helpful
in order to begin the year.

- To start the year
your child
needs:
- 2 hard folders (card or
plastic) cartelle
rigide that fit in your child’s book bag
- 2 boxes of Kleenex
- 1 package of wet wipes
(salviettine detergenti
bimbo)
- a long sleeved plastic art
smock or large old
t-shirt for Art class
- a change of clothes, including
shoes (label bag and clothes please)
- a backpack to carry folder home
- school supplies (shared by all):
a box of felt tip pens (thick), 1 box of crayons OR
colored pencils , 2 erasers, 1 pencil sharpener, 4 pencils, 4-6 small
glue sticks. PLEASE, no individual pencil cases (astucci) are
needed!
- School times:
- School begins at
8:45. Prep children who arrive earlier than 8:45 are
monitored in the E. C. garden downstairs. Please arrive no
later than 9:00 a. m., as we start Calendar activities (Morning
Meeting) then. School ends at 3:25 Monday through
Friday. Children who do not go home on the buses should be
picked up at the classroom door. Please be punctual! begins
at 8:45. Prep children who

- Food:
- 1. A snack of biscuits and
juice is provided
for the children during the morning garden time.
- 2. A lunch program is
available consisting of pasta or rice followed by fruit or
yogurt. If your child(ren) bring(s) lunch from home it should
be in containers that can be opened by your child and all cutlery
should be provided as well. No glass bottles or
containers please.

- Sickness:
- If your child is too ill to be
outside or to
participate in P.E., please keep your child at home. Teachers can
not administer medicine to children.

- Toys: Please do
not send toys to school.

- Folders:
- Your child's folder goes home
nearly every
night and should be returned the next morning, emptied of all
work. Please check folder for notes and also send us any
communication either in the folder or by e-mail.
