MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

            I am pleased to welcome you to the Middle School section of the Ambrit website. Our Middle School, comprised of Grades 6, 7 and 8, is an outstanding educational community with caring and dedicated teachers and staff, supportive parents and diverse students ready and eager to learn. For most students, Middle School is the first time they experience different teachers for each discipline, and are required to organize and plan their increasingly complex school and social lives. It is an exciting and rich time in a young person’s life. Students and parents alike are encouraged to view the Middle School as a supportive environment that encourages each child to learn and grow as a unique individual; respect for yourself and others is essential to this inclusive environment. We strive to help young people gain the confidence to spread their wings, find their bearings, and excel towards their futures.
           
            The Middle School experience at Ambrit is marked by increased independence, technology and opportunities to explore Italy and the world outside of the classroom. Our learning environment, both in and out of the classroom, provides much scope for our students to learn, to make friends, to acquire new skills, to visit new places and to educate the whole child on their path to becoming successful young adults. The wide variety of extra-curricular activities on offer presents the occasion for students to further develop their sense of identity, confidence and self-esteem. Awareness of global issues is reinforced through regular service learning activities such as making sandwiches for the homeless and World Food Day projects. School trips are a valuable aspect of life at Ambrit, providing the unique opportunity for Middle School students to participate on over-night trips to Umbria, Florence and Venice as well as many day trips to places of educational interest in the Rome area.
