I’m Missing You

I don’t know why
I open my eyes
and I see you
but I know that

[CHORUS]
My arms are still missing you
While I would like to be kissing you
But you go away
Why do you go away?
Even if I’ve been telling myself
It’s ok, I’ve been questioning myself
why

[CHORUS]

My arms are still missing you
While I would like to be kissing you
But you go away
Why do you go away?
Who has been kissing you
All this time? Tell me why
Should I be happy if

[CHORUS]

My arms are still missing you
While I would like to be kissing you
But you go away
Why do you go away?
And I’m still there
Waiting where you said
You’d wait for me…

People

We talk about us compared to them
Thinking we’re different
We all like music just like life

CHORUS:
We’re not that different after all
We all like living, we all have fun

Some people really care about appearance
Some have no reason for it
Somewhere inside I don’t really know why
There’s a sparkle of dignity in everyone

CHORUS

We all start the same way
Then we build up to become our self
Some people fight for something
But some people fight for nothing
This is where classes start

CHORUS

Some people fight for life or for a job
Some people just fight to get along

Homework

I came back home on a rainy day,
The sun came out just a second today,
All day long I was thinking of you,
'Cause I didn't have anything to do.

[CHORUS]

Home work, Home work!
Home work, Home work!

I enter my room and I open my books,
There lay in front of me a big stack of work,
I don't know really where to begin,
So I just get everything and throw it in the bin.

[CHORUS]

The very next day when I woke up,
It was already, 7 o-clock,
I hurried up and, got out of bed,
But when I looked at my desk I said.

[CHORUS]

I packed my bag and went to school,
When I came in my class I tried to stay cool,
As soon as Mr. Davies, came inside,
I looked up and, started to cry.

[CHORUS]

The Dust Land

There is a house in Oaky land,
It’s covered up in dust,
Who made it no one knows,
It was a wall of dust.

[CHORUS]
The dusters must have set it off,
They must have done that
They must have done that

I was there in that house,
There was nothing I could do,
But I have got myself and my life,
And that is all I need.

[CHORUS]
The dusters must have set it off,
They must have done that
They must have done that

And all I’ve got is lost
All is under dust

[CHORUS]
The dusters must have set it off,
They must have done that
They must have done that

I Got the Rainy Day Blues

chorus)
I got the rainy day blues
I gotta stay in all day
During class I play

As I look out the window
I feel so sad
Because I’m sitting inside
Singing the rainy day blues

(chorus)

I got the rainy day blues
I have to stay in all break
But for goodness sake
It’s only rain
It won’t cause no pain

(chorus)

Hey, hey, what do you say
Don’t make me stay in all day
Just please don’t make me stay in all day

 I ain’t got anything

In this world I don’t know
Where I’m gonna go
In this world I don’t know
Where I’m gonna go
Ramble down a highway
I don’t know where it’s gonna end.
I see many people
Rambling like me
But I wanna know how it would
Be to be a rich man under a tree
And he dunno know how I feel.

(Chorus):
Dream about a sweet life
Don’t know if I’ll have one
Dream about a sweet life
Don’t know it’ll happen.

Once I saw a film
And it said that we poor people are the ones,
We have the power upon everyone.
And you rich people don’t know how it feels to be
As poor as me
I ain’t got anything.

In the last 7 years
I lost everything
I lost my house
My family
I lost my car
And my dignity
Sometimes I think about
The last years passed with my family
I ain’t got anything.

Getting Over You

I’m staying home tonight
‘Cause I can’t face the light
But it keeps haunting me

I sit here on the floor
Thinking about you
And all the ways we went wrong

A tear upon my cheek
The flower inside me
Losing all its love and light

My heart has gone apart
Don’t know what to do
With this feeling I have tonight

And I know that I gotta
Pick myself up from this floor
And put behind all the hurt
My heart’s endured
But I just can’t do it

Refrain
I wanna free myself from you
I wanna stop playing this scary game
Every day is passing oh so slow
Every moment I’m hurting more
I don’t wanna fall for you again
I don’t wanna go through this once more
And I can’t seem to pass this moment by

The clock is ticking by
And I’m dying inside
I can’t shake these blues away

I know that I’m a big girl
And I’ve got to face the truth
And that’s what I’m gonna do

I’m gonna pick it up
And face reality
No matter how much it hurts

I’ve got to close this page
Of the book of my life
And really get over you

And I know that I gotta
Pick myself up from this floor
And put behind all the hurt
My heart’s endured
What I have to do
Refrain

Global Warming Blues 2050

The ice caps are melting, the desert’s moving in,
SUV in the garage, plasma screen on the wall,
So I’m pretty comfy all in all
But global warming’s gonna wreck the world

I was doing pretty good when the temperature went up,
I said mighty fine weather lovely strong sun
And then the floods came and sent me on the run
Because global warming’s gonna wreck the world

With the temperature in the 50’s I set out from my home
I crossed the growing desert by the light of the moon,
No rain for months and then there came a monsoon,
Global warming’s gonna wreck the world

Every last farm in this dusty county shriveled up and died,
No food was grown, we had to get some more,
Thousands of hungry people headed off to war,
Global warming’s gonna wreck the world

If I could talk to the people as I was
Burn your mighty SUV, hop on a bus,
Turn out the lights as you go out the door,
Or Global warming’s gonna wreck the world

 The Darkness in Between

This is the story about a boy and a girl
They were meant to be together
Yet they were so far apart
I don’t know why
Nobody here is quite sure why
The reason why

You know their hearts
They longed for each other
But there was this hollow end
The dark side of the story
The darkness there
In their souls and in their minds
Love they couldn’t find

Refrain
And the darkness in between
Them, was drowning out the light
And the darkness in between
Them, was crushing all their might
Fading into night

The situation they were in
You know it’s hard to tell
Let’s just say that they were insecure
 Afraid about their future
 Suffocating all their hope
All their light

They just couldn’t face reality
They were closed in their darkness
They didn’t even notice their love so near
Right beside
To all light they were blind
Time to open eyes

Refrain
You know there’s darkness everywhere
And life is a quite hard thing to bear
But there is love and light left to spare
You’ve just got to turn the corner and
Look for it, look for your love
You know you’ll find it if you look hard enough
And even the boy and the girl in our story
You know they’ll have a happy ending
If they just learn to dance in the rain of light
In the light

With this hopeful thought of love and joy
We can finish our song
‘Cause life is a constant change of dark and light
Hold on tight
You’ve just got to hold on tight
In between

Refrain

On The Road

I left my homestead and my warm bed,
Just because a bank man came with his pen.
He said, “I’ll see ya later”,
He also gave me a written paper.

He said, “You still don’t know,
You’re on the Road,
You’re on the road.

So I left the next day,
I couldn’t believe that I was going away.
I took the first train,
I was leavin’ in full pain.
A man came up to me, Said,
“You goin’ to Tennessee”?

I said, “No sir,I have no home,
I’m on the road.
I’m on the road”.

So I arrived in Alabama,
And a man came up with his bandana.
He saw me play the guitar,
and asked me, if I wanted to become a music star?

I said, “Yes sir,
Now I have a home,
And I’m not on the road.”

Too Bad I Fell For It

CHORUS:
Do you wanna run away together
I would say it was your best line ever
Too bad I fell for it…
Too bad I fell for it…

Verse 1:
I need a hand to build some hope inside of me
Cause I feel us drowning
Deep down into the sea…

CHORUS:

Verse 2:
Messages twisting and turning, tell me
What should I give just make it clear
But I guess
I wanna stay here…

CHORUS:

Verse 3:
You may think I am a God
But I’m just a human, and that’s my saving grace
And you’re not my destiny..

CHORUS:

Verse 4:
You forced me to become stronger
When I was craved being weak
And part of where I’m going
Is knowing where I’m coming from..

How I Want To Be

As I wrote this song
I was in school
It was a sunny day
I was thinking of how annoying this was

I was insecure
I didn’t like what I saw
But I got so used to it
I was scared of change
And whatever came with it

I was trapped
No one seemed to notice
That was the worst
And with that I was conditioned

I used to not care
I used to say
Live!

Slowly
I found my self alone
Because I was different
Because inside I cried out
To be myself

It didn’t work
My self was blocked in me
It couldn’t come out
To tell the world
Stop!
Let me be
How I want to be

Billy the Kid

The last thing he saw, was his face, it was him,
Billy The Kid.
He had a lot of fame but no shame, in his gang for what he did.
He was born November the 23rd, 1859, in a small town,
Everyone knew his name because, each year, he killed someone.

[CHORUS]
He doesn't mind, as long as he has a gun and someone to fight,
You have to know, he can kill you in a second, it won't be very pleasant,
Unless you go and buy him a present.

When he came along the way, people got scared, and ran away,
He was a legend as outlaw, because he had, the fastest gun.
He was a very smart young man, but in the end, he paid for his crimes,
The 14th of July of 1881, he was shot, by the sheriff.
Still now Billy The Kid is remembered, as the, fastest gun of the west!

[CHORUS]
