The Italian and French programs aim to combine a topic and situation-based approach with a more conventional structural and grammatical progression. Throughout the course work, the emphasis is on what pupils can do with what they have learned and the intention is that language for active use should gradually become the usable property of the learner.
Students studying Italian and French as a foreign language will experience a sense of achievement and gain a sound basic knowledge of the languages. Activities in the classroom aim to meet the varied needs and levels of the class.
