PSHE
- Personal, Social and Health education
It
is part of the Ambrit philosophy to help students achieve academic,
social and emotional balance throughout their education and foster
healthy life skills that will be part of their whole lives.
One
Buddy program has always been an important part of our school
community and has proved exceptionally successful at creating
a supportive and friendly school environment. All classes take
part in the program and the older children enjoy working and spending
time with their younger buddies.
In
the middle school students explore how to develop, communicate
and manage good social skills in all the grade levels. Through
PSHE classes in grades 5-8, the counselors address a variety of
topics ranging from bullying, interpersonal relationships, transitions,
sexual health and education and the effects of alcohol and drugs.
With the use of a variety of age appropriate resources, the counselors
develop awareness and conduct forums of discussion on the various
topics.
If
you have questions regarding this program, please contact
our school Counselor.
