Curriculum Mapping

Ambrit Rome International school is dedicated to delivering a challenging and comprehensive education. As educators we believe that curriculum development is a an ongoing process, and ensure that our program of study is constantly reviewed and updated. In doing so, we are able to indicate the most effective teaching methods for each subject and ensure that our curriculum is sequential and consistent in its goals. To assist in our planning we have purchased an on-line mapping software called Rubicon Atlas which allows all teachers to write, edit and browse their unit plans. It also allows administrators to browse all plans across the school, which is an invaluable tool in assessing our curriculum both horizontally (across grade level) and vertically (whole school). This system allows all curriculum documents to be stored in one place, which is not only more efficient, but safe as it eliminates the fear of lost data files. We join with many schools who have adopted this or similar software in order to map their curriculum. Through this on-line system we can share ideas with schools across the globe. Adopting this mapping system is yet another step in ensuring that our curriculum is world class.
