ACADEMIC OBJECTIVES

The over-arching philosophy of the Ambrit Rome Technology program is the use of the computer to aid the communication and presentation of ideas and new knowledge. At all levels we emphasise the importance of using the computers to allow our students to express their ideas creatively and accurately with the view to sharing and communicating what they are learning and what they are interested in. The beauty of creating work on the computer is that digital material is transferable across different programs. Thus a word processing document can be converted to a web page, text and images can be combined and reconfigured for desktop publishing and most documents can be converted into a slideshow format to be used for presentations. We would like to pass on these skills to our students convinced that the computer assists effective learning by empowering students with highly sophisticated means of processing and presenting information.
